  • Boundaries grow out of a clean ask

I was so grateful for the chance to talk to James about creating boundaries with your grown children. Boundaries can get messy, so it was fun to talk about strategies to be clear about the boundaries that we set. It was also fun to talk about taking vacations with your grown children. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed talking with James.

  • Good Parenting Wisdom

This podcast is very helpful and encouraging for us who have adult children. My eldest has a very toxic relationship with her estranged father. The episode with Nancy Pickard really inspired me and also saddened me because it reminded me of what my eldest and her father will lose if her father won’t grow up and take the advice given in this episode. This show does a great job of providing resources for parents who have adult children. It’s a much needed topic.

How God Meets Us in Adversity: A Journey of Faith and Resilience
Q: So can you tell us how you got involved in this cult?
I joined seeking a divine purpose and spiritual meaning, but I encountered manipulation and control that distorted the truth; I stayed long enough to see the harm and eventually chose to leave, prioritizing authenticity and integrity.
From Ordinary to Unforgettable: The Power of Your Personal Narrative
Q: How can parents help adult children select education paths in a shifting job market?
Parents should support their children by encouraging self-assessment of strengths (zones of genius), teaching adaptability and emotional intelligence, and promoting experiences—internships, mentorships, and exposure to varied careers—that build a robust, transferable skill set rather than locking them into a single niche.
From Ordinary to Unforgettable: The Power of Your Personal Narrative
Q: Good. That's wonderful. Let me ask you a couple of questions. How does a strong personal narrative impact critical life transitions?
A strong personal narrative provides a cohesive framework for presenting life experiences in a way that highlights resilience, purpose, and fit for future paths; it helps students articulate who they are, why they made certain choices, and how those choices connect to their goals, making transitions like college admissions and career changes smoother and more credible.
