  • Informative, but could be better

I love the podcast and appreciate the effort that goes into it! Just wish Ryan would let the guests talk. Just when I think we are about to get GOLD from a guest, Ryan interrupts to interject what he used to in one of his programs. Let the guests finish their sentences! So frustrating…

  • Could be great!

Very good informative guests. Unfortunate that host is always talking over and interrupting his knowledgeable guests. If host can learn to let his guests talk, would be a can’t miss podcast.

  • Please stop interrupting the speaker

I love the show and love the content but it is so rude and hard to listen to when the host cuts off and interrupts the speaker. I’ve had to turn it off at time because it is so cringy and you can tell the speaker is getting frustrated because they lose their train go thought.

Great guests, great content, however the host needs to let the guests speak. I find the host talks over the guests frequently and also speaks about himself a lot and about his time coaching division I, rather than asking questions and letting the guests tell their own story. As a host, remember, it’s not about you. It’s about the guests and their story. Other than that, great stuff.

Kevin Coe - Academy Director, Cincinnati Reds
Q: What are some ways you engage players to improve?
By using technology like Rapsodo and assuring they understand the mechanics and their adjustments, players learn to trust their training and develop better arm strength and batting skills.
Kevin Coe - Academy Director, Cincinnati Reds
Q: How does your role at the Cincinnati Reds compare to your previous experiences?
The facility here is a game changer; with indoor turf, indoor cages, and a weight room, it's a step up from the White Sox program.
Kevin Coe - Academy Director, Cincinnati Reds
Q: What do you miss about baseball after working in the 'real world'?
I was still in baseball, running an indoor facility where I started a baseball program, so I was kind of doing all sports including basketball and soccer, and it was a fulfilling experience that prepared me for working with the Reds.
Wayne Cavadi - The DII Report Newsletter
Q: What do you think about the playoff structure changes?
The new Super Regional format is great because it provides teams more opportunities and minimizes the chance of the momentum swing in double headers, ensuring that the best teams get to compete.
Wayne Cavadi - The DII Report Newsletter
Q: How has the transfer portal impacted Division II colleges?
DII baseball has benefited because it hasn't been hit as hard by the portal compared to other sports, allowing teams like Tampa and Angelo State to retain key players while also bringing in transfers.
