  • Youth Inc gets it

I know nothing about football. Nothing about Olsen. I know the crummy coaches I had and I know the coaches I would have run through a wall for.

Youth Inc takes an honest look at youth sports and offers guidance for youth athletes, parents, coaches, and parent/coaches.

  • Youth Inc. LOVE

Love Greg Olsen, I was a huge fan when he played on the Panthers! Lately I am the parent to an athlete, he’s 8 and some coaches treat them like they are 18. I really appreciate the insights Greg provides.

  • True Development

One of the most informative youth sports podcasts. The conversations are real and focused on developing young athletes into people first, with both short term and long term growth in mind. Parents and coaches should listen.

  • Listen to some pro athletes tell you how they know how to make your kid a youth sports star & how the only person holding your kid back from future stardom is you. This stuff was discredited decades ago.

A bit alarming how good the reviews are.

  • Good info

Really great information. Sound mix for the podcasts is terrible. Very uneven and I find myself raising and lowering the volume throughout.

Jon Gordon's Leadership Advice for Young Athletes
Q: What is one of those skills young athletes can start developing to become better leaders on their teams?
Jon Gordon emphasizes building relationships, encouraging teammates, and leading with a positive mindset; he advocates feeding yourself with encouragement first, then extending that energy outward to uplift others, alongside embracing constructive challenge within a caring, relationship-first approach.
Spencer Lee’s Dad on Raising a Champion Wrestler
Q: What's the balance you aimed for between allowing a kid to have fun and pushing them to improve?
The goal was to keep it enjoyable, let kids be kids, and progress gradually with age-appropriate challenges, ensuring they love the sport and want to keep learning, not just win.
Spencer Lee’s Dad on Raising a Champion Wrestler
Q: How did your background in judo shape the way you approached discipline, failure, and growth in wrestling?
It taught me that learning discipline and resilience is transferable across sports; the focus should be on developing traits rather than chasing trophies, and that you don't want to burn out a kid by overemphasizing results.
Brandi Chastain on the Shot That Changed Soccer
Q: What did that moment mean for young fans and the future of women's soccer?
Brandi explains the moment sparked a shift in perception and inspired participation, while highlighting that its impact has evolved over time to empower women in sports and business.
Men in Blazers' Roger Bennett: The World Cup Moment That Could Change U.S. Soccer Forever
Q: What needs to happen to make this World Cup a long-lasting growth moment for football in the U.S.?
Execution beyond the tournament matters: sustained coaching development, better scouting, and stronger pathways from youth to professional levels, plus nurturing youth environments where kids can learn through play and not just formal competition.
