This podcast is fantastic. After years of passing them by I finally started the Gamache book series in December 24 and I am still going (on Book 17). I have never read a series beyond 3 books before but it keeps getting better. This podcast is the book club I’ve always wanted to have. I am getting so much more out of the series thanks to these smart and articulate women. Thank you for taking the time to do this and make it DEEP. Eagerly awaiting a new episode!!
I just wanted to make an observation about the fat-shaming, etc. I think that Louise Penny was trying to show was what people really think without realizing it. I am thrilled I just found this podcast! It is very informative and entertaining. The cohosts, Meredith and Roxanna, do a wonderful job delving into all the stories, characters and themes (and more!) in the Three Pines world. I have been reading Louise Penny from the beginning and it’s a joy to listen to other folks who love this book series as well.
I love the discussions between the hosts on this podcast about my favorite series of books!! They cover everything from the broad topics such as pacing and character development, to the more detailed, such as favorite scene. It’s a great review of each book. I love getting other perspectives on the plots and characters. Cannot wait for the next episode !
I’m loving this podcast! I’m rereading the Three Pines series along with the show and getting so much more out of the books this time around. I love the nuances Meredith and Roxanna bring out that I may have missed, the cultural references Roxanna explains, and the super smart and in-depth conversations around these amazing books!
