My fathers side is full Italian but sadly they don’t know much about their past. I found there are not many Italian history podcasts. I have really enjoyed this one. This show has been fun to listen to and he does his best to bring as much to the show as he can. Talking about a whole country is hard but I feel what is highlighted is spot on. I’ll warn you this podcast could be split up because he does some sub shows about fascists and the mob. Still good stuff.
I try not to binge on this podcast, it's a struggle. Still informative and still entertaining.
Bitesize doses of elegantly and often amusingly told Italian history and culture. I love it! I hope the show carries on for a long time. The audio quality is always crips as well which adds to the experience
Always really well researched and put together. Don't think I've ever heard someone sound so British yet switch to flawless Italian so fluently!
This is a top class history of Italy show. I've learned a ton and I've only just started listening. Mike is a very engaging host and storyteller. As someone who's always been interested in Italian culture, I also love the intro music - makes me feel like I'm sitting in the sunny southern coast and excites me to be able to go there after covid!
