Since 1997, Punchline set out to write meaningful, heartfelt songs and share them with the world. At the same time, they were also unknowingly writing one of the strangest band stories imaginable. This podcast serves to tell that story, straight from the mouths of the people who lived it, and in a more honest manner than ever before.

My buddy and I once went to a show and Steve came over and said “hi, I’m Steve. I’m in a band called Punchline.” We were not only there to see Punchline, but we had already been huge fans for over a decade at that point. (Enough to drive 3.5 hours to see their 15 and eventually 20 year anniversary shows). Even though at first he was just trying to meet new people and maybe gain a new fan or two, he stood there and talked with us for 15-20minutes. The Punchline podcast—like the band—is full of heart, endlessly engaging, and so much fun. I got into Punchline during the Action era when they toured with Mest. The first half of the “Action” episode was a warm hug of nostalgia. The second half broke my heart. Today I am a Heart Transplant Social Worker, so the song, album, and band have renewe... more
I’ve been following Punchline since 2016, and it’s amazing to hear their stories in such depth. Also, this is the best produced podcast I’ve ever listened to, hands down.
I found Punchline when I went to see Mest. I then went to see Punchline and found FOB. I have been following this band for a long time and have learned a lot of fun things and a lot of struggles that the band has gone through! I appreciate everyone being so candid! Looking forward to the 37 everywhere episode!
Great band. Great show. Great Scott.
