As a Swiftie, I really enjoy this podcast providing a scholarly view of Taylor’s lyrics. Angela and Dr Jerry’s banter is fun.
My only suggestion is to invest in some better audio equipment.
This podcast has quickly become my favorite, and it’s been a great escape from my political podcasts (which aren’t buoying my spirit much these days!). Angela is a great avatar for an audience that loves Taylor’s writing and wants to spread the word, and Uncle Jerry is a great guide through the literary world and how Taylor’s lyrics hook into it. Watching Uncle Jerry become a Swiftie (admit it, already) has been a lot of fun. The episodes always end too soon for me!
Angela and Jerry are both delightful in their own ways and extremely enjoyable to listen to together. Angela loves Taylor Swift as much and for the same reasons as I do. And Dr/Uncle Jerry tells me everything I never knew I needed to know about why she’s such a genius (and he’ll admit to that fact eventually). I’d listen to a new episode every day!
Me and my mom like to listen to this podcast, I am more of the scollery type and she is more of the Swiftie . I love both Angela and Dr. Jerry’s energy. Definitely recommend it to anyone starting to listen to Taylor Swift longtime Swifty or new Swifty. Guess I really recommend it to anyone!
This is such a fun podcast for Swiftie a who feel validated fkr recognizing the worth in Taylor Swift’s songs, and it’s insightful for those who have never understood Taylor’s fame. I look forward to it every week! Great hosts and great fun!
