50/50 is a series of hour long interviews with controversial subjects. The aim of this show is to conduct those interviews in the most biased manner possible...in both directions. The first 30 minutes of each interview is as cordial as possible with nothing but soft-balls. The last 30 minutes is as contentious as possible. Email: mattorchard5050@gmail.com

I’m a big fan of Matt Orchard, but this one misses the target. I’m assuming 50/50 was a project of his before he found other avenues…but it seems he also found he wasn’t particularly good at political discussions. It seems like he wanted to bring in representatives of ideas to which he objected on a fundamental level and then see what happens when they lay out their opposing viewpoints. I think, like many contemporary western liberals, Orchard doesn’t have a coherent ideology from which to frame... more
The host seems open to discussion, and is actually interested in delivering what he promises. It is often fun to watch his arguments get torn apart by his guests, all of whom are more experienced in explaining and defending their views. So there's a LOL factor here, too. I've got to hand it to him for being so brave and just going for it, kudos! I hope he keeps at it.
