此公原名叶雷，自号雷公，原大陆人，后移民加拿大。此人自称学艺术出身，非金融专业，却靠着copy他人书本上的“双均线理论”等内容和对人性弱点的精准把握，通过精美的视频和巧妙的话术包装，把自己打造成一个金融界投资大神的人设。在短短七八个月内俘获了十多万粉丝，而其年会费从369美金，到399，随后直接提至1399美金，仍能收获近5000个付费会员。短短几个月便有如此丰厚收获，相比起其他一般的财经博主，其忽悠能力可见一般。 然而，是欺骗总有破绽，是谎言终会被戳穿，再圆满的忽悠，终有露馅的一天，只是没想到这一切来得如此之快。有一位曾误入雷圈后觉醒了的网友，非常不耻雷公言行不一的卑劣个人品质，并气愤雷公的一系列忽悠行为，于是自己在youtube上专门无偿开设一个频道“北美吐槽者联盟”，只为揭露雷公的卑劣和违法行为。
