  • Dangerously Disguised

There’s a difference between sharing your opinion and convincing others while spreading misinformation about any areas outside of your expertise. I hope listeners have their own heads on their shoulders and not allow for influencers to dictate their own opinions especially on mental health/trauma concerns. Rachel seems to keep herself in disempowering place led by her own trauma struggles and instead of empowering herself through healing she puts responsibility on everyone else and makes it her ... more

  • Yikes

Male hating while advocating for men in women’s spaces and the destruction of her native country and its sacred traditions through illegal migration. I fear she might have dug a hole too big to crawl out of.

  • Truly from the heart

I settle when I listen to Rachel talk. The honesty, the willingness to be vulnerable and moments of laughter and deeply nourishing. Also learning a lot about chickens 😁😉

  • Truly....from the heart.

It is with a very heavy heart that I am hitting "unfollow" and "unsubscribe" today. For a long time, Rachel Brathen (The Yoga Girl) and her podcast, From the Heart, were my go-to sources for peace. I looked forward to every episode, post, and story. I was deeply drawn to her yoga practice, her nourishing recipes, the glimpses into her family and farm life, and that signature calming voice that felt like a deep breath in a chaotic world. Unfortunately, the platform has shifted significantly. Whi... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Introducing Family Lore
Q: So here's what I want to understand.
The host asks about the motivation behind exploring ancestral lines; the guest responds that they have been drawn to the topic for a long time and are more interested in the stories than statistical DNA breakdowns, focusing on how personal histories and the circumstances of ancestors move people today.
Ask Rachel: How to (really) Build Confidence in Your Kids
Q: Hi Rachel, I just wanted to say thank you... how do you manage feeling heard and connected with listeners while maintaining boundaries online?
I strive to stay authentic, acknowledge the community, and recognize the space is real and meaningful; even when online, the connection is valued and mutual.
Ask Rachel: How to (really) Build Confidence in Your Kids
Q: Hi Rachel, I have a daughter who is very sensitive... how can I build her confidence without bringing her down or overpraising her?
Meet the feeling, not the judgment; reflect that the feeling is valid, mirror it, and support her in navigating insecurity rather than erasing it, so she learns to trust her own path and intuition.
Ask Rachel: How to (really) Build Confidence in Your Kids
Q: Hi Rachel, this is Meredith... when you had roosters, were any of them aggressive and how did you deal with them?
Roosters can be feisty depending on flock dynamics; build boundaries, walk through the coop like a boss, avoid hand-rearing from a young age, and if aggression persists, consider finding them a new home. Safety and clear hierarchy are key.
Ask Rachel: How to (really) Build Confidence in Your Kids
Q: Hi Rachel, my name is Lindsay... would you ever consider selling those same baskets as a little ode to your full circle moment of having your own shop now?
I love the idea, but I'm focused on expanding and refining the store toward a magical, herb-filled, witchy vibe, and probably not the right moment to expand into baskets; prioritizing what fits the farm store's soul and future direction.
