  • Dangerously Disguised

There’s a difference between sharing your opinion and convincing others while spreading misinformation about any areas outside of your expertise. I hope listeners have their own heads on their shoulders and not allow for influencers to dictate their own opinions especially on mental health/trauma concerns. Rachel seems to keep herself in disempowering place led by her own trauma struggles and instead of empowering herself through healing she puts responsibility on everyone else and makes it her ... more

  • Yikes

Male hating while advocating for men in women’s spaces and the destruction of her native country and its sacred traditions through illegal migration. I fear she might have dug a hole too big to crawl out of.

  • Truly from the heart

I settle when I listen to Rachel talk. The honesty, the willingness to be vulnerable and moments of laughter and deeply nourishing. Also learning a lot about chickens 😁😉

  • Truly....from the heart.

It is with a very heavy heart that I am hitting "unfollow" and "unsubscribe" today. For a long time, Rachel Brathen (The Yoga Girl) and her podcast, From the Heart, were my go-to sources for peace. I looked forward to every episode, post, and story. I was deeply drawn to her yoga practice, her nourishing recipes, the glimpses into her family and farm life, and that signature calming voice that felt like a deep breath in a chaotic world. Unfortunately, the platform has shifted significantly. Whi... more

Welcome to For the Love with Jen Hatmaker
Q: What should listeners know if they want to start their own table or dinner series?
Begin with low barriers to entry, choose simple, concrete ways to connect (questions, shared meals, small acts of service), and be willing to adapt the format to your space and resources rather than chasing perfection.
Welcome to For the Love with Jen Hatmaker
Q: How did Dinner with Strangers start and evolve into a movement that gathered thousands?
Jess describes starting with 15 dinners, no formal business plan, and a belief in following the magic of the concept, which gradually grew through word of mouth and by creating spaces where people could connect authentically.
Ask Rachel: Meet Yourself Where You Are
Q: What is a practical practice to reconnect with oneself in the midst of daily life?
Micro‑check‑ins before agreeing to requests, pausing to assess how one truly feels, and building a habit of choosing integrity over immediate compliance, which gradually strengthens the inner voice.
Ask Rachel: Meet Yourself Where You Are
Q: How can someone decide whether to expand their family when the partner has strong opinions?
Conscious conception and honest conversations, honoring one's own body and timing, and recognizing that alignment with a partner requires dialogue and shared values rather than coercion, with attention to not rushing decisions.
Ask Rachel: Meet Yourself Where You Are
Q: How do you know when a decision is truly for yourself versus for family or others?
Learning to hear the inner voice clearly through embodiment, recognizing whether a choice arises from authentic desire or societal expectations, and using a process (like riding an emotional wave or waiting for neutral feelings) to decide.
