各位兄弟姊妹，今天來到教理簡編第483條，所問的是： 「何時訴諸武力是道德上許可的？」雖然前幾天我們說過：和平對於個人以至對整個社會、世界非常重要，這是無可置疑的。但會否在某些情況下，使用武力在道德上是容許的？是有的。不過要有四個條件，必須同時兼有，並非滿足大部分條件就可以，因為全部都很重要：

各位兄弟姊妹，今天來到教理簡編第481條，所問的是：「世間的和平是什麼？」從人的生命成長來看，和平是必須的。為什麼呢？因為生命很脆弱。人一出生的時候，需要許多照顧、培育等等，因此，必須有著一個安定的環境，不讓生命受到威脅。
簡單如養育小鳥也要築巢，不可以飛來飛去無處為家；母雞也要有地方孵蛋，不可以被騷擾。動物既也這樣，又何況是人呢！人的成長更是以年去計算累積，所以，和平是必須的。
