  • Very poor choice of guests

Anthony has repeatedly invited Marko Papic, a “geopolitical strategist” to the program. He allowed this incompetent, overconfident charlatan to rant about topics that he knows little about.

The recent podcast was particularly obnoxious. Papic ranted about the Russia-Ukraine war even though he was wildly wrong about the conflict, including that Russia would invade in the first place. Where is the research and fact-checking? Anthony completed failed.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Middle East Tensions Are Reshaping More than Oil and Gas with Rick Rule
Q: What is your strategy for managing risk and capital during high volatility in energy and metals?
He explains maintaining large long positions in core energy equities while selectively trimming speculative or smaller names, using debt investments in mining/oil and gas as a source of liquidity, and leveraging a three-bucket portfolio approach (savings/insurance, investments, and speculation).
Middle East Tensions Are Reshaping More than Oil and Gas with Rick Rule
Q: How are you tracking the Middle East tensions and their impact on energy markets?
Rule describes monitoring supply disruptions, deferred capital, and regional logistics, framing the situation as a multi-year risk with potential upside in prices if the conflict persists, and potential downside if a peaceful resolution reduces volatility.
The Macro Strategy Behind Venezuela and Iran Interventions - The Most Important Conflict in 50 years with Michael Every
Q: How might the U.S. respond if it seeks to dominate Middle East energy and coerce rivals?
The U.S. could escalate or withdraw, with outcomes ranging from a structural reordering of global power to increased regional chaos, depending on price signals and alliance behavior.
The Macro Strategy Behind Venezuela and Iran Interventions - The Most Important Conflict in 50 years with Michael Every
Q: What is the strategic significance of Iran in the broader U.S. grand strategy?
Iran is the pivotal link in shaping the regional balance of power and the geopolitics of energy, energy flows, and allied alignments, which could determine whether the U.S. can set a new global architecture.
Is the Dollars Global Dominance Finally Cracking? with Barry Eichengreen
Q: Do you see Europe, US, China, and perhaps BRICS evolving into a more multipolar monetary order, or will the dollar remain overwhelmingly dominant?
Eichengreen argues for a gradual shift toward a more decentralized system with meaningful roles for the euro and renminbi alongside dollar dominance, facilitated by digital finance and diversified liquidity sources, but cautions that swift, chaotic changes could destabilize global liquidity.
