Rather an over the top review of Konstas’ entertaining but lucky first innings knock on debut! The alternative view being it took Bumrah one view of him to clean him up in the second innings! Lots of work to do before the young man deserves the plaudits he’s currently getting! We shall see in Sydney!
Update is that while Bumrah did not get him out,
he failed in both innings and his second innings shot was more reminiscent of Alan Mullally than a Test Match batter! I’m not saying he won’t end up ... more
I’d love to hear an expert opinion on how to solve the issue of the predictability of white ball cricket. Every white ball game out of 7 in the recent Windies v England series was won by the side chasing!! So before everyone declares the tour a total success story perhaps we should bear this in mind! We won more tosses in the t20 series that’s it! And to all intents and purposes 4 out of 5 games in Australia v Pakistan series the same (there was one 7 over a side game!)
