Not a student of religion yet I find these episodes both interesting and thought provoking.
This podcast is remarkable not just for talking about the intersection of two fascinating topics--media and religion--but doing so in a way that is intelligent to the nuances and complexities of each. Ashley Campbell is a great interviewer who strikes the right balance between guiding and following her guests. Sound quality and production is consistently good. Strongly recommended!
As someone who studies religion, I think it is very easy to get trapped in the ancient, classical, or medieval eras. (W)holy Media is a great reminder that religion is not simply a force of the past, but has a far-reaching influence in many aspects of society. Ashley and guests discussion interesting topics that do not always get looked at in relation to religion, and it is definitely worth a listen!
