  • Compulsive listening.

I can’t compliment this programme enough. Meticulously & empathetically researched. The heartbreaking stories of the victims & their families are now public knowledge and should be a wake up lesson for all of us. I have no doubt that without this programme GG would have lived out his days without paying the price for his terrible crimes. The whole production team should be congratulated and celebrated for their immense public service.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

11. Bonus Q&A with Mark Horgan and Patrick Radden Keefe
Q: What struck you about the conversations you had with former paramilitaries?
There has been some criticism, and I always find it tricky that people suggest to not humanize individuals who have committed terrible acts.
11. Bonus Q&A with Mark Horgan and Patrick Radden Keefe
Q: How has it finally felt to step out of that Say Nothing bubble in the last few months?
It's been strange. I mean, you're right. You know, for me, this started as just a magazine article and then became a book.
12. Bonus Episode With Angela Donnelly, Sister of Eugene Simons
Q: What do you feel you were carrying most over the years?
I think as I said to you in my phone call, it was only when you asked me that, that it really dawned on me fear and shame.
12. Bonus Episode With Angela Donnelly, Sister of Eugene Simons
Q: How did you feel when you were writing the email?
It meant enough to me to go. It was something that I wanted to do, especially when Seamus broke down and cried.
4. The (Estate) Agent
Q: How did Joe Fenton's role evolve into that of an informer for both the IRA and British intelligence?
Due to pressure from Special Branch and his knowledge as an estate agent, he felt forced into becoming an informer.
