I love listening to you all. As a former athlete, grew up in Zimbabwe playing and watching tennis. Came to US to play field hockey at University of Maryland. Married an Oregonian, my son is a freshman Duck and I was hoping he knew Izzy. Sad she transferred. Watched the 99ers late college. Just been through the soccer recruiting process with my daughter who just committed. She’s a junior in high school.
So many things! All the things. Everything thing the three of you stand for is what I believe... more
Was a big fan until I realized Billie Jean’s position on men in women’s sports. Stop blurring the lines between ideology and fairness in competition. Women fought hard for protected spaces in sports, and it’s frustrating to see those protections treated as negotiable. Why do women always seem to get the short end of the stick when it comes to preserving opportunities, scholarships, records, and competitive equity? I expected a women’s sports podcast to center women athletes first.
This podcast requires wading through so many ads and ads masquerading as conversations. When you can just listen to an interview or the non-ad segments it’s good… but I get really tired of having products and services pedaled nonstop.
Always love listening to your podcast! Love how you celebrate women and women sports and have especially enjoyed the episodes with women coaches! Keep ‘em coming!
Love this show so much. Have always been a fan of Julie and Abby and what a treat to hear from Billie Jean King! A legend and so inspiring. Thanks for all the important discussions and fun insights. Go women’s sports!
