  • Has changed tone over time

Had previously given this pod a stellar review, but I unfortunately need to revise it now. When it was about women’s soccer, women’s sports, it was unbeatable. However it’s meandered into this sort of gross “woman-sphere” sort of drivel since. That’s more about women explaining how enlightened they are and preaching how you too can be enlightened 🙄 You’re getting dangerously close to becoming a Glennon Doyle type pod, and let me tell you, you don’t want to be that. There’s already far too much ... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

You Asked, We Answered: TRS Mailbag
Q: Allison from New York asks, what football rule would you like to see change either in general or in a specific league or competition?
Tobin and Christen propose changes to offside interpretation to require space between defender and attacker, address goalkeepers faking injuries, and eliminate the flip throw to simplify and speed up the game.
NWSL Predictions with Merritt Mathias
Q: How might Trinity Rodman's High Impact Player status influence other teams' roster decisions?
The rule could cause a domino effect on salary allocations and strategic targeting of players who can fill high-impact roles, potentially reshaping which clubs pursue big-name signings and how they structure their rosters.
NWSL Predictions with Merritt Mathias
Q: Merritt, what trades have you been watching most closely this off-season?
The Croix Bethune and Claire Hutton moves stand out because they shift who the top teams have in midfield and how those teams balance playmaking with the rest of the lineup, affecting both Washington DC and Bay FC's competitive profiles.
Golden Goals with Temwa Chawinga
Q: Do you follow a lot of the news in the NWSL and what's going on?
I don't follow a lot, like that was, like sometimes, like the way now, like, I'm doing the hub, sometimes I'm busy, sometimes I'm tired with the hub, I'm just go straight to my apartment.
Golden Goals with Temwa Chawinga
Q: When you scored your first goal, how did you feel?
I feel so happy because at that time when I scored, like Lourdes came out to me, I was so happy because it was my first goal, like NWSL goal. I didn't know I can score, like the league is tough, like the defenders were so tough.
