  • Not for everyone

I came here to learn but the first episode the host is spending a lot of time mocking God. If you are a faith based person wanting to learn about foster care, this podcast might not be for you. I’ll be on the hunt for a more accepting one.

Ep: 85 "Shanae"
Q: What's one piece of advice that you could give a younger version of yourself?
Put yourself first. Work on yourself and learn a hobby to better yourself after experiencing trauma.
Ep: 85 "Shanae"
Q: What advice would you give to other Earth mothers?
Find your community, a supportive person and therapy. Therapy helps.
Ep: 87 "Jeanette"
Q: What piece of advice would you give a child with similar lived experience as you?
When you feel like you're falling, reach for help instead of falling alone. There are people out there who want to help you.
Ep: 86 "Brittany"
Q: What is one piece of advice that you would give a former foster youth or an adoptee that has a similar experience with you?
To ask questions, don't just take what they're telling you. Ask questions because you never know where you come from, who's out there, and you'd be surprised at all the amazing people in your biological family.
Ep: 80 "Abner"
Q: What's one piece of advice that you would give a foster youth or an adoptee?
My advice to them would be to search out for your own community. Find the people who actually do uplift you and support you and encourage you and stick with them.
