  • Be inspired to travel

Always good advice and tips from Lynne. She knows Europe and Travel and Fun.

The benefit of small group travel that she and the guest talked about on the last episode: when you small group travel, you have people working with you and invested to make sure you will have a good time. Not only all the planning, but making sure it goes smoothly and you have a good time. It’s a great perk! Great episode Lynne.

  • Authentic and inspiring

Not sure how I stumbled on this podcast, but it has become a go to for me. Plenty of dream material and realistic, travel planning advice! I would love to hear more on seeing Scotland and Ireland via walking or hiking excursions. My travel group has people who can handle light walks or moderate hiking, and it would be nice to get options for the group. Also comments on accommodations in these two countries – especially in the Highlands and rural counties. Always eager for the next episode!

March 2026 Listener Q&A
Q: Do you have any off-the-beaten-path locations you would recommend in winter?
Cities remain a solid winter option, with museums and iconic sites often less crowded; consider destinations like Paris or Edinburgh for winter ambiance, but also explore smaller towns such as Fort William or Ambleside in the Lake District for quieter experiences. Always check what will be open in winter and tailor plans to what you want to do, whether indoors or outdoors.
March 2026 Listener Q&A
Q: Hi Lynne, I'm going to Europe for the first time this year in summer. Are there any recommendations you have for making our experience smoother in the crowds?
Book major sites in advance, consider visiting early in the morning or later in the day, and when possible, choose indoor venues during peak heat. If tickets are still available, you can sometimes visit mid-day; alternatively, try late-day slots. Also plan breaks to sit and rest, and explore lesser-visited neighborhoods to escape crowds.
Expert Tips for Long Distance Hikes with Becki Rupp of Trailblazer Wellness
Q: Should a first-timer consider a group tour or go solo/self-guided?
If you lack extensive travel experience, a guided or self-guided-with-support option helps manage logistics and reduces stress, while experienced travelers can often go solo or with a small group to maintain flexibility.
Expert Tips for Long Distance Hikes with Becki Rupp of Trailblazer Wellness
Q: What are the most important tips for getting physically ready for a long-distance trek?
Start with gradual distance increases, add 10-20% more volume weekly, and incorporate back-to-back training days to simulate multi-day hikes and test gear.
February 2026 Listener Q&A
Q: What is the best type of accommodation?
Lynne notes the choice depends on the travel group and offers guidance on hotels, guest houses, B&Bs, Airbnbs, and self-catering accommodations, emphasizing the advantages of each type.
