  • So woke

Female host is so woke and queer discussion is just gross. Yuk!

As a native Peruvian it always amuse me the gringos who play the White Saviour role. The lady who wants interviewed kind of understands some issues but of course, she only scratches the surface. She may have good intentions but I wonder if, as many white people, she wants to satisfy an unconscious need to feel better with herself. She mentioned she was afraid to be offensive to Peruvian nationals, well she didn’t offend me, she annoyed me.

  • Not for me

I specifically chose the episode about the West Highland Way to find out more information for an upcoming trip but after listening to the first 20 minutes I had heard nothing about it. Also I’ve never heard so many “so like you knows” in my life, to the point that it became distracting and that’s all I could hear!

Y We Travel Podcast: To Meet The Neighbours (Bonus Episode!)
Q: How did the idea for Why We Travel originate and evolve into a podcast?
The concept began as an essay series in The Walrus about why people travel; over time, it expanded into a broader exploration with interviews and discussions, eventually becoming a podcast where writers and thinkers discuss travel's deeper motivations.
7 Travel Tech Trends Worth Knowing in 2026 + 3 Emerging Hot Spots to Spend Quality Time with Matt Gray
Q: Can you unpack the first trend about the high churn of travel apps and why it happens?
The guest explains that most apps fail because they target one persona or trip type instead of the broader, evolving needs of travelers, and because large players frequently acquire successful apps, dissolving the original user-driven purpose. He advocates for broader, community-driven platforms that consolidate multiple traveler needs.
How to Live an Unconventional Life of Adventure and Purpose by Becoming “Dirtbag Rich” with Blake Boles
Q: Is entrepreneurship or being self-employed a prerequisite for pulling off this lifestyle, or can traditional employment be balanced with the Dirtbag Rich approach?
Blake argues that entrepreneurship or at least an entrepreneurial mindset helps, but the core is equal negotiating ground with employers, the ability to walk away, and to create value so you're not trapped in low-income, time-consuming roles.
How to Live an Unconventional Life of Adventure and Purpose by Becoming “Dirtbag Rich” with Blake Boles
Q: First of all, how do you determine what is enough and where do you draw the line between more trips, more money, and preserving time for the rest of life?
Blake explains that enough is reached when you have depth and quality of relationships, meaningful time under the stars, and a sense of contributing to the world; money should function as a flexible lever rather than the sole goal, allowing for periods of high activity and time off.
Give Yourself Permission to Choose Differently: Jason Moore on the My Most Authentic Life Podcast
Q: What is your definition of authenticity?
Authenticity is a feeling of alignment, where your daily choices reflect your core values, your environment supports who you are becoming, and you feel true to yourself even as you evolve over time.
