Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Your Mind Is Under Attack: Burnout, AI & Leadership | James Lang
Q: When you hear the word conscious leader, what does that mean and how does it resonate with you?
A conscious leader is someone who prioritizes the human impact of decisions, seeks to improve lives beyond the bottom line, and maintains a long-term view that values wellbeing, culture, and ethical considerations as much as profits.
Why Most Side Hustles Fail | Bart Merrelland
Q: Tell us one, two, or three things listeners should shift in their mindset to succeed with side hustles, and whether you have a resource like your list of 25 successful side hustles for 2025?
He highlights choosing the right side hustle (alignment with heart and skills), finding a mentor, and exploring opportunities in familiar, local areas; he points to his 25 successful side hustles as a memory jogger to spark ideas and keep momentum.
Why Most Side Hustles Fail | Bart Merrelland
Q: Okay, good. So do you mind telling our audience about yourself and what it is that you do?
Bart describes a lifelong pattern of side hustling—from a teenage DJ business to international ventures—driven by opportunity, skill, and a readiness to pivot; he emphasizes monetizing one's mindset and leveraging diverse income streams for financial security and freedom.
The Leadership Skill Most People Think They Have (But Don’t) | Rebecca Wilson
Q: When we hear the term conscious leadership, is it better to have a lack of leadership than a leader who is unconscious about their environment?
The host asks about the contrast between absence of leadership and presence of non-conscious leadership; the guest argues that if a leader is unwilling to cultivate awareness, it's better to have an opening for someone who will grow, as adaptability and inner development are increasingly essential.
How Stress Destroys Your Health | Professor Pete Alexander
Q: Why focus on health rather than trading it for career and other responsibilities?
Maintaining health is essential for longevity, energy, and the ability to lead others; neglect leads to chronic issues that prevent achieving long-term goals.
