  • Genuinely the worst wellness adjacent podcast ever :(

Trying to not sound mean but this is genuinely the worst wellness adjacent podcast i’ve ever listened to :( Really annoyed about it because i am perfect target audience and super interested in all things wellness/science/health as well as politics / feminism / sociology. This podcast manages to do none of it properly :( I really enjoy Kate’s short form (tiktok) content but this is unlistenable - she doesn’t have the charisma or scientific expertise to do a podcast that claims to be combatting th... more

  • Honest at every level

I messaged the host asking her to address the prevalence of AI products advertised in every episode. By the time the next episode dropped, she had addressed me directly, her producers, and her entire audience. She strongly condemned AI from a feminist and public health lens. No AI ads in this episode at all and I have immense respect for her speaking truth to power and maintaining her values at every level of production. I’m proud to support creators moving with this kind of intention. So gratef... more

The Fight for Women's Equality with Amy Willard-Cross
Q: How has the environment for women changed since Gender Fair started in 2016?

Abortion is Healthcare with Jessica Valenti
Q: What messaging do you think Democrats should adopt to be more effective on abortion rights?
The host and Valenti discuss the need for unapologetic messaging that government should not interfere with pregnancy decisions, and emphasize building political power and addressing voter suppression as a path to long-term change.
Abortion is Healthcare with Jessica Valenti
Q: What are the biggest changes in how Republicans discuss abortion now that Roe is overturned, and how does that affect activists and voters?
Valenti explains that Republicans have shifted to a more Moderate-sounding framing while still advancing restrictive laws, and notes that voters broadly oppose bans, which creates opportunities for a more assertive pro-choice messaging strategy.
Abortion is Healthcare with Jessica Valenti
Q: So for those who don't know you, could you introduce yourself to the Seamossgirlies?
Jessica Valenti introduces herself as a feminist writer and author who has been focused on abortion rights for over 20 years, highlighting her work founding Abortion Every Day and her shift to tracking abortion-related stories after Roe overturned.
The Gender Data Gap for Women Athletes with Christine Yu
Q: What are the main areas where there is robust data on women, and where is data most lacking?
There is solid data around the female athlete triad and bone health, but much less information on general athletic performance, exercise physiology in high-performing women, and pregnancy/postpartum effects, largely due to funding priorities and perceived risks in studying women.
