  • Too many interruptions by host

Some tell that John guy to shut up. Constantly talking and interrupting people. So annoying and inappropriate

  • Entertaining and Informative

I stumbled across this podcast about a month and a half ago. Since then I have listened to almost every episode and repeated a few. I am preparing for VCP certification and some of the episode have been a tremendous help with that endeavor.

  • Elevated discourse

I enjoy this podcast. It has the usual cast of characters/guests doing the rounds on these enterprise tech podcasts from NetApp Communities (now Tech ONTAP), Geek Whisperers, Speaking in Tech, et al. The hosts and guests get to build their careers and I get to learn from them because they love to talk and share. More importantly, Virtually Speaking has clean language, and a more elevated discourse, which only adds credence to the discussion and content. Keep up the good work, Pete.

Private Cloud Outlook 2026: The AI Tipping Point
Q: What is the big difference between the 2025 and 2026 Private Cloud Outlook surveys?
The 2026 study shows Enterprise AI has found its home in the private cloud, with a shift from cloud reset toward rapid AI-driven repatriation and a focus on cost predictability and security in the context of AI workloads.
Real-World VCF 9 Migrations: What Actually Works
Q: What was the thesis of your session?
The session aimed to debunk myths about VCF by showing how VCF 9 is a flexible, nearly declarative platform that can be configured in multiple ways, and to illustrate practical migration paths from existing environments, including brownfield conversions and NSX integrations.
Networking for VCF 9.1: Simplifying Private Cloud Networking
Q: How does Infoblox IPAM integration affect subnet allocation and management?
Infoblox remains the authoritative owner of IP blocks; VCF/NSX can request subnets from Infoblox, enabling centralized, conflict-free provisioning while allowing the vCenter admin to operate within predefined blocks.
Networking for VCF 9.1: Simplifying Private Cloud Networking
Q: What is the core value of introducing VPCs in VCF Networking?
VPCs give each tenant or application its own isolated network bubble with built-in network services, simplifying deployment from vCenter/VCFA and reducing reliance on complex, manual network configurations while preserving security and control via connectivity policies.
What Enterprises Get Wrong About Kubernetes
Q: Where do people go wrong with Kubernetes? Like how do they get started?
Myles suggests the core issue is trying to do everything themselves and maintaining a DIY mindset; true value comes from recognizing the need for established patterns, pipelines, and ongoing maintenance rather than one-off setups.
