I really enjoyed this four-part series. Of course some moments are tough and sad, but Emily relates these real events with a light touch, while also keeping you grounded, and thinking (and re-thinking).
There were several twists and turns I did not see coming, and most importantly, the series stays firmly tethered to an important central question: how can we balance the needs for fairness, equity, and justice, against the need for safety?

Reeves held space for contradictory perspectives, while honoring the noble efforts of a hometown community’s current effort to build a more effective system of safety for all students.
I personally enjoyed the final episode’s wisdom in recognizing when policies are based in fear rather than su... more
