I thought I was going crazy, but I read some of the other reviews. Please take this constructive criticism. I love you and I love the show, but I’m starting to get frustrated. The last few episodes have been repetitive and the same information and the same clips played over and over again. Lots of empty air like noises and stuff only too. I feel like you’re fluffing and putting out an episode an episode. I’m sure things are working in real time and I understand that but to hear the same content ... more
I guess I always knew Payne isn’t a professional journalist and that this show erred on the side of entertainment. But I feel this season puts the pedal to the metal in acccelerating away from credible investigation. I’m disappointed by this.
Payne’s “analysis” of Jon’s polygraph is especially incredible. Either he thinks we are all kind of dumb or… maybe he is fooling himself.
It kind of seems like Payne thinks his audience is really fascinated by HIM. But hearing his “inside my head” stre... more
While ultimately interesting, the later seasons do not hold up in comparison to the results of Season 1.
Season 4 has just been a huge disappointment with so many promises not being kept ex: saying stay tuned for new content/ episodes and then they never show up. It’s too bad, lots of good potential.
Genuinely grateful for what Payne did to help solve the first season case. Tara deserved that justice, and I truly applaud his efforts. However, the repeating information is unbearable for someone who is a good listener…I understand that more episodes may generate more money and further attention for Tenderfoot TV, but journalist credibility is lost when the audience is so often treated as children who cannot listen the first time. Really diluting the information is irritating to active listener... more

The content revolves around captivating true crime investigations, focusing particularly on mysterious disappearances, often delving into the emotional and societal impacts of these cases. Each season tackles different cold cases, from Tara Grinstead, a schoolteacher whose vanishing led to significant arrests, to Kristal Reisinger, a young mother whose disappearance from a secluded Colorado setting remains unsolved. Noteworthy are the troubling narratives surrounding missing Indigenous women, brought to light in seasons covering the cases of Ashley Loring HeavyRunner and Florence Okpealuk, emphasizing the systemic failures in addressing these issues. The podcast is likely to appeal to audiences interested in deep, investigative storytelling... more
