This is one of my favorite podcasts, I think it’s incredibly well researched and extremely respectful to victims and their families. There is a cold case from 2021 in San Antonio that barely got any national coverage. A 3 year old girl disappeared from her apartment playground without a trace. I feel the family is having trouble getting attention because of their nationality. Lina Sardar Khil. There have never been any leads or suspects. She disappeared around a bunch of other kids in the middle... more
The first two seasons the team knocked it out of the park. Real attention to detail. The third season started off okay, got a bit shaky, then fell off a CB lift. The forth season was going tea good, multiple storylines and a lot to trudge through; Howe, it again quickly trailed off leaving us listeners wanting some form of closure or perspective of closure.
Listening to S3 again. These are really intriguing podcasts, really good. I hope, Payne, you are just working on S4 & that’s why we haven’t heard from you. But re S3, that Tee sounds like a sociopath. The way she laughs at inappropriate things in the interview, scary. And V-dog, same. Monsters walk among us.
I’m lost on where we’re at. With all he bonus’ and tenderfoot exclusives I have no idea what’s going on
I’ve been listening to this show for years. I don’t ever expect them to break a case open and find all of the answers but we were left hanging with nothing for season 4. It feels disrespectful to the two victims being covered. The last episode Payne says ”I’ll share my thoughts on the next episode” there is no next episode. He doesn’t close out the case at all or bring us any ending or closure. He gave us a phone call and then ghosted us and the victims. Disappointed and disrespectful.

A gripping true-crime series that follows meticulous investigations into disappearances, often tying in family perspectives and local community dynamics. Across seasons, the show blends narrative storytelling with cold-case updates, investigative rigor, and moments of personal testimony from families and investigators. It often expands from a single case into broader questions about media, ethics, and the impact of long-running investigations on communities, while occasionally promoting spin-off topics and related projects. This mix of long-form documentary storytelling and real-time case progression makes it especially engaging for listeners who crave thoroughness, transparency, and human context behind missing-person cases.
