Essentially, no investigative reporting, very few facts presented. Lots of sociopolitical opinions stated, and law-enforcement bashing was readily shared. Poor audio when it was of anyone other than the host. Audio of anyone other than the host didn’t seem to do anything to provide information or move the story forward, and then the host often repeated with the interviewee had just stated. Sigh…
I didn’t hate listening to this show, but specifically season 4…I’m just kind of dumbfounded how the whole show is centered around trying to get one piece of evidence, then finally revealing a whole different and very important piece of evidence that just gets slid into the last few minutes of the show. Clearly biased because they got close to the mother. A little one sided for me when I think about the show as a whole. Not a terrible listen though as far as entertainment value goes.
Just finished season 4 and I honestly feel compelled to learn more about the other seasons because there is no way this reporter came close to uncovering any level of truth. You can't be this naive and pretend to be a journalist. I'm sorry. I'm just blown away that an actual adult can be that capable of so little rational thought.
There have been many pod casts to cover the story of Alexis Patterson. I felt this was the most thorough and investigated. She went through every theory detail by detail and also explained any perceived short comings. This story was told with respect and I feel this was the best to learn the many aspects of the case. Thank you for supporting Alexis’ story and keeping her name alive. #414
A good serial type podcast, but the nature of the cases being unsolved leads to natural frustration.
