A scientifically funny podcast (p<0.05); new episodes every Tuesday. Comedians Joe Zimmerman, Jono Zalay, and Raj Sivaraman (two PhDs and one NCAA athlete) explore a new topic in science each week, from evolutionary biology and particle physics, to political science and economics. They review the most exciting scientific findings and discuss the impacts for science, society, and their own personal... more

The demilitarized trio heat check the claim that North Korea "successfully" tested a hydrogen bomb. Kim Jong Un might be a tad bit too boastful as seizmic readings show the earth didn't exactly move for his thermonuclear test. Raj has been reading a ... more
The 3 noble gaseous podcasters reveal that the 7th period of the periodic table has been filled with 4 new elements, and their names are almost UN-comprehensible. Some scientist fired protons at a wall for 5 years to create an element that lasted les... more
I love learning new things and if you do too then this podcast is for you. The one thing that bothers me is whenever they talk about religion or God, I feel as if they're talking down to people who believe in a higher power and not just science. Now I don't have a problem with them talking about if they believe in God or science, but I don't enjoy when they make jokes about people who believe in God. This doesn't happen often so it's not a huge deal, just something that I noticed. Other than tha... more
Interesting. Hilarious. Good.
Smart guys talking about funny things. It's pretty great!
A fantastic mix of science and humor. Very interesting and well worth your time! I wish they made more than 1 a week!
This pod is hysterical.
This has quickly become one of my favorite podcasts. So smart and funny! Keep up the great work guys!
This a really fun podcast. You learn you laugh what more do you need.
I absolutely love this podcast! it's hilarious, educational, and the hosts get along great! This podcast deserves such a larger following than it already has, and I would love to see some Universe City merchandise soon! My personal favorite episode is "Vote or Buy (U$ Public Policy)" . I've listened to all of their episodes, and I love every single one! My favorite host is Raj, but Jono and Joe are still amazing (I guess). I will certainly write my local rich person and recommend this podcast (a... more
Love this podcast. Found it because I'm a big fan of Joe Zimmerman, but all hosts are great.
Looking forward to a long-term podcast relationship with these three hilarious and intelligent dudes. Keep up the good work. Love it!
Cool science. Nice humour. It’s like “We Have Concerns” (a podcast I love) with more scientific grounding because of the Microbiology and Neuroscience PhD. Joe Zimmerman, the third host, does a great job of being the surrogate audience member, so that all the explanations are clear. I love the analogies they make to their own lives and with other concepts that we understand.
This is a great podcast for the morning when you're sleepy: a funny science-y wakemeup, for the commute to work: a good educational laugh on an otherwise dreary drive/ride, or even something good to listen to hanging out at home. Always a sure fire conversation starter for my friends at night.
Joe, Jono, and Raj have great chemistry. I hope the Great Trio goes on to record a full set of 2015 episodes. Thanks guys!
Charismatic scientists making funny & talking about science stuff. So funny.
Discovered Joe Zimmerman on his Comedy Central half hour and have been a fan since. Jono and Raj are super smart and the three have great chemistry. They make science really easy to understand and make you laugh along the way. Love this show!!!
