This podcast met me just at the right time. I’d been trying to finally break free and was failing. This podcast really opened my eyes to the journey of breaking free. I had done faith based programs, but those fall short of getting to the issue. Jeremy is very practical and real about what’s going on inside the brain. Just start on episode one and listen to one per day and buy in! Started listening when I was 12 days free of porn, and I’m 73 days free! That’s not necessarily what the main focus ... more

  • Company and Hope

Jeremy, I found your podcast at a really difficult time in my life. My wife and partner of 7 years has decided to separate from me after a tumultuous relationship that has been dragged through the mud by porn addiction.

Right now, listening to your conversations not only keep me company but also afford me hope for reconciliation and reunification, stronger and truer than any time before.

Q: What early, tangible steps can someone take to begin recovering right away?

Q: Can you summarize how your view of addiction differs from traditional medical definitions?
Addiction is not just a genetic or dopamine-driven problem; it is a learned pattern where we seek external pleasures to soothe internal distress, and understanding that shift provides a practical pathway to recovery.

Q: What are some practical strategies someone can use now to begin recovery without committing to Buddhism?
He explains that self-awareness is key, using journaling to envision future goals and the contrast with current habits; practicing equanimity to sit with unpleasant emotions instead of escaping; building a mindful toolkit (mindfulness, compassion, self-compassion); and joining a supportive community or accountability structure to reduce shame and sustain progress.
