I honestly think that James Doherty, who appeared on tv around the same time, who now does a cooking show with Jamie Oliver, copied James Wong’s presenting style… quite weird. It does concern me that there is a lot of research focussed on deforestation in places like Madagascar, Brazil & Borneo but no focus on the uk’s horrendous forestry practices.... Just listened to the latest episode, “Dirt On Our Hands”. Absolutely brilliant - well-conceived, informative, inspirational and thought-provoking. Really interesting on the differences between botany and horticulture, and the ways in which we’re all implicated to a greater or lesser extent. Plants are never just plants, and this series grapples with that in a mature and enlightened way.
