Just listened to the latest show with Shawn McCarthy. Great listen, I’m 44 now and it brought me back to when I was a kid listening to my grandfather, dad and neighbour talking about big musky. “Went gunnel to gunnel in the boat”, “attacked my paddle” while canoeing and was as long as the canoe lol. Much appreciated. The old boys club are a wealth of knowledge. The 3 part with Johnny and Pete was great as well. Great segue into the latest episode.

Some really awesome episodes on eastern Ontario fisheries (eg non NW Ontario). Have to sort through some ads and some episodes get hijacked by UFC and bitcoin banter.
Guests are the most interesting but that’s about it, the distance formats are a pain because they are constantly talking over them and not always listening to them. Also the new formats they take any chance to plug there merchandise really annoying. I think the show has run its course
Sounds like good guys but they must record from different locations. Awkward lengths of silence combined with everyone talking over each other. Hard to listen at times.
Show has turned into a giant advertisement. Can’t stand Frank talking over everybody. Biggest blowhard
