Five months later, Colby returned to the United States. He was stopped in Las Vegas, jailed, and t... more

This podcast gives powerful insight into a truly disturbing story. Most of the publicity surrounding sexual assault prosecution is focused on cases like the one from Stanford. This series shows the other side that sometimes exists, where innocent people go through hell trying to clear their names. Ken, the narrator and lead defense attorney, did a great job breaking down this captivating story and dealing with a very disturbing subject matter. Five stars!
If you loved Serial, you'll love this podcast too. Instead of the perspective of a neutral reporter, Trial Team Notes is told by the lead attorney on the accused's defense team. As well-told and as suspenseful as Serial, having the defense attorney as narrator lets the listener learn not just what the truth is, but the strategy that goes into how to present the truth in court in order to win a favorable verdict.
This podcast is extremely compelling, and provides insights into the thought processes and dilemmas faced by a real trial team. The story shows how we should all be skeptical of sensational headlines and how events may not be as they initially seem. What an ordeal this guy went through!
This podcast was recommended to me by a lawyer friend of mine and it was great. Even though it comes from the defense side of things, it is a balanced view of a volatile issue. Well done!
Not sure why I haven't heard about this podcast sooner. Great filler while waiting for Serial.
An eye-opening lense into the American judicial system. Every episode builds on the next--making it difficult to stop listening. Entertaining, informative, and well-produced are just a few buzz words that come to mind. You need to download this!
Unlike Serial or other true-crime podcasts, this one gets told by a person within the story: the defense attorney. One of the unique things about this podcast is that it lets the lawyers explain why they chose a particular tactic in the case and how they went about defending their client. In addition to gripping facts that involve everything you'd see on Law & Order, CSI, or in a Grisham novel, you get inside the head of the lawyers trying to exonerate a client they believe is falsely accused. A... more
This podcast was well-executed for dealing with such an explosive subject. Unlike most in the true crime genre, it presented the story of the case respectfully and without sensationalizing or making strange assumptions. Because it's presented by the actually attorney, it contained insights that no other podcast or news article possibly could. It's well-produced and told in a linear fashion, so there's no confusion over the timeline or the players involved. Overall it did a great job of breaking ... more
Narrator breaks down a lot of the legal jargon into layman's terms to make it easy to follow along. Interesting case that makes you want to find out more!
