Q: What are the realities of the transfer portal and the decisions around entering it as a college athlete?
The portal can be chaotic; some athletes have a clear plan, but many enter hoping for interest. Coaches may engage with advisors, and conversations can be sensitive. For many, the right move comes from weighing playing time, fit, and development capabilities rather than mere opportunity alone.

Q: What sparked your commitment to Elite 12 and later the Academy, and how did that decision shape your path?
A bullpen session and connections in the local training scene led to opportunities at the Elite 12 Academy. The program and Richie Palmer's guidance helped chart a course toward D1 possibilities, culminating in a top five school list and multiple coach conversations that accelerated interest from major programs.

Q: Tell us about growing up in Hollywood, Florida and how your early baseball journey started.
I started playing baseball very early, with my dad coaching me through childhood. Hollywood offered a competitive environment, though travel ball wasn't as prominent at first; I grew up balancing rec ball with occasional travel exposure and gradually faced the realization that growth required higher-level opportunities.
Tony Harper of PG talks RANKING'S and SELECT FEST roster choosing.
Q: Why rank nine-year-olds or younger if the big opportunities come later—what is the purpose of fall rankings?
Fall rankings serve as a starting point, not a final verdict; they help identify early potential and kick off the development trajectory, with the understanding that the rankings will evolve as the year progresses and more events occur.
Tony Harper of PG talks RANKING'S and SELECT FEST roster choosing.
Q: How do you guys go about selecting directors and expanding to new regions?
The process is collaborative and multi-layered: we vet candidates through LinkedIn and market feedback, look at team numbers and fields, and rely on a national office and 10-15 person committee to review and onboard new directors with weeks of training.
