I started listening because Kevin Pillar is one of my favourite Blue Jays all time. But the stories shared and the hosting that guides the conversation is so good. Cody and Kevin are amazing hosts - leaving you feeling like you’re sitting there with them on a living room. I share some of the stories with my 10 year baseball-loving son, as he wants to make it “to the majors”. He loves hearing the stories and gets excited when he has baseball cards for some of the players he gets to hear from.

I’ve never listened to any kind of podcast before listening to these, which are sensational! I’m a Cardinal fan, but I can’t wait to get through the entire library because one of these that I have heard provides some in-depth information, and each of them are so entertaining. Kevin and Cody extract stories from these major leagues that bring an entire new depth of understanding baseball for me. Regardless of the player being interviewed, I I would think any true baseball fan would love these.

The stories are interesting, and the concept, of hearing about the grind and working life of a ball player, is great. But the hosts ask way too many long winded sideline reporter type questions: asking in a way that announces what they think the answer will or should be. instead of “what was that like?” They ask “so was that like X, where you realized that Y was what you really needed to do and that was where you learned Z important lesson”?
