  • What? Combating crypto skepticism? You should tell investors to dump it!

Unless biased, it is unbelievable that a broker is defending crypto. It is not even a currency. There is no collateral, not regulated, used by criminals, every day there is a new crypto and there is another collapsing. I expected more from Interactive Brokers. You should be warning investors to stay away from that toxic scam. Disappointing!!!

From Ceasefires to Software: Breaking Down This Week's Market Moves
Q: And Scott, maybe the most important question of the day, who are the bears taking a 25?
Scott suggests targeting defensive line improvements in college football recruiting analogies, implying a broader theme of selective rotation: while AI remains a driver, the market may favor players or sectors that address other competitive needs, reflecting expectations of a broadened leadership slate.
Can Singapore Keep Its Market Momentum Going?
Q: How does AI relate to Singapore's manufacturing buoyancy?
AI is increasingly integrated into manufacturing and engineering services, with concrete examples of AI-enabled logistics and process optimization driving efficiency gains in foundational sectors. This has helped spur productivity, support new growth areas, and attract investment into industrial and materials sectors within the stock market.
Can Singapore Keep Its Market Momentum Going?
Q: Why is Singapore outperforming?
Geoff attributes the outperformance to a mix of cyclical momentum and structural resilience, including consistent growth in multiple sectors, strong liquidity in banks, prudent long-term fiscal planning, and strategic investments in aviation, energy, and climate initiatives. He also notes a favorable currency dynamic and a low pass-through from US rates, which support the stock market despite global headwinds.
Right Direction, Wrong Trade: The Earnings Trap
Q: Could you break down how Vega exposure and Theta decay change across different entry windows, and which timing tends to be most favorable historically?
Entering earlier (e.g., two weeks before earnings) changes Vega exposure and can benefit from anticipated volatility, whereas entering near or after the event may incur different time decay and IV dynamics; the most favorable timing depends on the specific strategy and how well the implied move is priced relative to historical patterns.
Right Direction, Wrong Trade: The Earnings Trap
Q: What's my actual workflow here? Like where do I even start? What am I looking for?
Begin by selecting the stock and a timeframe, then compare current option prices to historical ranges to assess whether premiums are high or low relative to past dynamics, focusing on how price move, IV expansion, and IV crush interact with your outlook and the chosen strategy.
