Love this show. Two great historians showing us lesser known pieces of history. Love all the dc tidbits especially.
What an excellent podcast. The two hosts are authoritative in their history knowledge and make it compelling to listen to by telling riveting narratives.
One of the best history podcasts around
I’m beyond thrilled that everyone’s favorite tour guides are back for Season 2! I follow several podcasts from a variety of genres, but TGTA truly is my favorite. The hosts play off of each other in a unique and lively way, as they lead listeners through a wide array of historical events and discuss interesting historical landmarks/monuments. Always interesting, always entertaining, and always leaving me with a smile on my face.
I am coming in at season 2 with the Johnstown flood. I “knew” about it, but loved hearing some of the details shared by the hosts. They have a great rapport and spend time thinking about how they want to cover their topics. Highly recommend.

This is easily my favorite episode!! Love the stories you tell and the way they are delivered! Great work! Great facts!
I listened to the episode on Charles Lindbergh because I visited his childhood home as a kid. I grew up a couple hours from Little Falls. Fascinating character in American history. Really enjoyed it! Great job ladies!
Ever wonder how a gaggle of a semi-intelligent high school juniors would describe what whey half-remembered from their U.S. history class? Wonder no more! This podcast should remove all doubt that the barriers to the free flow of juvenile stupidity are low. Yes, there are better ways to spend your time than listening to this series. For example, self-conducted root canal surgery absent pain killers.
I’ve lived my entire life within 50 miles of D.C. and every episode brings me to places I’ve never been and many I’ve never even heard of. These ladies (and Dan) are smart & funny and they make my commute tolerable 😄
I agree completely with Becca’s review. I learned things I didn’t know and I have been a tour guide in DC for 15 years. Good job!
Loved the latest mini episode on historic Jewish Washington. Thanks!
Wonderful way to learn the often unknown history of D.C. All the podcasters have an exceptional grasp of their topics and present them in a really interesting ways.
Fascinating way to learn about US history. Would recommend to anyone, even if you’re not super into history
Love this podcast - great charisma between the guides, awesome story telling, and I love how diverse the topics are! Not just the same old history figures - or if they are, you hear about them in a new way!
I love this podcast! As somebody who honestly didn’t enjoy my American History courses, this podcast has made appreciate our nation’s history much more. Still debating which episode is my favorite!
Excellent podcast!
