The recaps of the original show were great. I always hoped Kristin would come back for a guest appearance but Carly was great. It was odd that Gen Q was originally Analyssa and Drew but then Riese became more and more present. Now Analyssa gets drown out by Drew and Riese. It’s really Riese’s show (the outro proves my point) costarring Drew where you can occasionally hear Analyssa’s perspective on sobriety, which I think is a good contribution, or simply agreeing with what is being said.
Thanks for taking one for the team by watching and analyzing the show so I no longer need to! I started off watching Gen Q and enjoying it (and of course listening to the podcast alongside), but quickly got frustrated with the show as well. Y’all sum it all up every week with style, I get to avoid fomo and multitask while listening, & I don’t have to watch sloppy storylines mostly about traumatizing queer characters anymore. I watch ALOTO with my precious screen time instead. Much appreciated!!
I used to be annoyed with how negative Drew could be, but this season of Gen Q has been such a disaster that her rage is actually quite cathartic for me! Like Riese said after Quality Family Time, I could not WAIT to listen to the pod afterwards because I knew they would air all my grievances and more. Tbh, let Drew write the next season Gen Q! (If it survives this disaster of a season)
My partner and I love this pod so much we’ll delay watching a new episode of the L word if we haven’t yet finished last week’s podcast episode. Thanks for all your hard work!
As a person with sensory issues, I am Unable to understand anything when all three of them speak over each other. The recaps are good, but sometimes they have a very insular view of things. more
