Thank you for the detailed explanations. As I watch the Phillies hit back to backs vs Colorado, this reminds me of the controversy in 1975 regarding Mike Schmidt’s mustache. Managers were furious and wanted it banned as the world knew it provided a competitive advantage for him as a hitter. It was ruled that the mustache was within the legal MLB guidelines and the rest is history.
