  • Fantastic - wish they did it more

Great podcast. I think this is the most knowledgeable and realistic podcast on the Red Sox out there. They provide a great perspective without being overly alarmist to get clicks. My only complaint is I wish they did it more often instead of releasing a podcast 1 or 2 times a week

  • Has become my go to Sox podcast

I’ve listened for a few years and, unlike the Sox performance, the podcast has steadily improved during that time. Very timely, informative coverage and discussions, mixed with a healthy dose of dry wit from both hosts- who aren’t afraid to occasionally offer differing perspectives. Glad this show has been here through good baseball seasons and bad ones.

  • Red Sox Pod

Human leaf blower Chris Cotillo’s semi-weekly Boston Red Sox lecture. Occasionally some other guy says something. It’s fine.

  • Tone

Want some positivity from this podcast, constantly predicting negative outcomes is not pleasant to listen to. The tone between the two of you sounds like you really dislike each other and a lot of contempt and interruptions which is unpleasant to listen to. Love the Red Sox not currently loving this podcast.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep 420: Get to know Red Sox interim manager Chad Tracy with 20 questions (mostly) not about baseball
Q: Number two, if you didn't make a career in baseball, what would you be doing?
I pursued an advertising/communications path at Pepperdine and could have worked as a scout or started my own business, but baseball became the main path.
Ep 420: Get to know Red Sox interim manager Chad Tracy with 20 questions (mostly) not about baseball
Q: Number one, a lot of baseball people spend their off season in Arizona, Florida, California. You spend yours outside of Cincinnati, lovely place. Why is that?
My wife was born and raised there, and my family on my dad's side is from that area, so we settled there to balance family ties with my outdoor interests like fishing and hunting.
Ep 421: Red Sox farm director Brian Abraham on the state of the farm system, Franklin Arias, Anthony Eyanson & more from Polar Park
Q: How do you view Franklin Arias's progression and the pathway to the big leagues?
Arias is viewed as a major asset with advanced defensive ability and growing offensive potential; the plan allows for development opportunities at AA to fine-tune workload and routine, with consideration for a future call-up based on readiness rather than urgency.
Ep 421: Red Sox farm director Brian Abraham on the state of the farm system, Franklin Arias, Anthony Eyanson & more from Polar Park
Q: What are the main storylines at this early point of the year for Worcester and the system as a whole?
The bulk of the answer centers on how minor league talent has been integrated into the major league roster and how the organization assesses development versus immediate big league impact, with emphasis on depth and readiness across levels such as Worcester, Portland, and Greenville.
Ep 414: Mike Vaccaro on "The Bosses of the Bronx," George Steinbrenner's legacy and Red Sox-Yankees
Q: Do you think the Yankees-Red Sox rivalry can reclaim that peak fever pitch from the early 2000s?
Vaccaro suggests that the rivalry could surge again if the teams are clearly the top two in the league, especially if they meet in the ALCS, which would rekindle the era of intense scrutiny and fan fervor.
