Today, April 25, 2020, is a very special day for two very special people. Even though the big wedding has to be postponed during the pandemic, people who ought to be married can still get married - if we are careful and thoughtful about it. Happy Elo... more
One thing I'm hearing over and over during this time of harboring in place (ie. lockdown and curfew) is that people are losing track of the days. The struggle is real! Is it Monday? Saturday? The 7th? The 12th?

As we sit at the table recording today's episode, there's a flock of seagulls next door at the Food Lion. They've been "vocal" for several days now. What gives? Also, have the doldrums? Could the game of chess be the answer?
Today's reading from Mr. Rogers is about how it's okay to take your time. One thing we all have right now, as we are practicing social isolation in our homes, is TIME. How do you want to spend it?

We're in the second week of social distancing (i.e. not leaving home at all!) and today we were kind of bored. There's a lull. The doldrums.
What a fine time, during this void of activity, to think about what we feel and who we are! Mr. Rogers thin... more
Have you had a chance to listen to, or watch, any of the free performances of music or theater during your social distancing? I'm trying to soak in all that I can. I've always said it, and now I really believe it: the Arts will save our spirits.

David and Kristen share with you one of our morning rituals, froggy throat and all. Horoscopes, Dear Abby, coffee, and kisses. Stay tuned to the very end for a little treat during your time of self isolation.
It's Good To Talk, by Mr. Rogers
Today's little check-in includes our determination to get some exercise. We also have a poem from Mr. Rogers called, "I Need You."
And we do!
We hope this brightens your day.
I logged on to learn more about spinal stroke which a dear friend was stricken with yesterday. When I found the podcast, I did not know that it was recorded in Charleston. My friend is likewise at MUSC so believe it made its way to me for good reason.
Although I appreciate everyone’s journey is unique, even having a vague sense of the general timeline has been a comfort. In addition, insight into some of what he may confront in therapy, mental health, chronic pain, etc will allow me to be a be... more
Compelling story about how a couple responds to a medical crisis and learns to live their new life. Told with humor, candor, and heart in a way that draws you in. Never give up Kristen and David!
I love and admire both Kristen and David and highly recommend listening to their heartbreaking and honest story as they navigate through Kirstens sudden medical ordeal together. It's a story of genuine strength, love and perseverance. They are truly an inspirational couple.
Kristen is someone I loved as soon as I met! How thankful I am that we work in the wedding industry together and that we have been able to get to be a part of each other's lives in a deeper way outside of work! Kristen is such a truly genuine person- so it is no surprise to me that her and David have created this podcast with the grace, honesty, hard truth and tact....inspite the difficult journey they are on. Love you Kristen!
To hear Kristen and David’s honest perspective on living through a major medical event has been so informative. There are so many different aspects related to the medical process, their relationship and Kristen’s recovery that are discussed so beautifully! So glad they decided to share their story in this way!!
Kristen here! I apologize the sound is slightly wonky in some place in the first episode. We will have that corrected before episode 2. Thank you for your patience and thank you for your support! xo
