  • So sad

I am a Nashville native, and I used to value WPLN as a station to for relevant news. Unfortunately, in the past couple of years things have taken a hard turn. The recent “next age” series was so over the line that I don’t plan on listening anymore. So disappointing.

Zack Slingsby's bet on scripted comedy from Nashville
Q: How does King Jester monetize its videos for brands and creators?
Brand entertainment is the key: brands hire the team to create content they own, then monetize via branded shows, web series, and integrated content, with production timelines that are faster and less costly than traditional TV.
Curious Nashville: the whereabouts of Union Station's original Mercury
Q: What is the backstory to the Mercury sculpture atop Union Station?
The original statue was created for the 1897 Centennial Exposition, later mounted on Union Station, fell in 1952 due to wind damage, and the original was not restored; a 2D replica now tops the tower and the original bronze was repurposed into two commemorative plaques.
Blushing, revelatory and poignant moments from our series on sex and seniors
Q: What does intimacy look like in the second half of life?
It encompasses more than sexual activity, including emotional closeness, companionship, and shared life experiences, and can involve redefining what intimacy means for each partnership.
Ask the Mayor and the vine that ate the South
Q: What are the mayor's thoughts on the data center moratorium and its broader regulatory framework?
The moratorium is meant to give time for careful consideration, with a focus on protecting sensitive sites, ensuring proper evaluation of uses, and coordinating across departments to address air, water, and utility concerns.
Alberto Gonzales on retirement, loyalty and the law
Q: Why did you decide to speak out publicly on issues related to the Justice Department and the presidency?
Gonzales argues that regardless of who is in office, if actions concern him, he will speak out to safeguard the integrity of the department and the rule of law, acknowledging not all will agree but underscoring the duty to public trust.
