This podcast is something I didn’t know I needed until I happened to stumble upon it. I’ve been into BL since my very early teens and being able to listen in on these conversations now (just turned thirty this year) in a sense makes me feel validated. I enjoy the topics and content matter as a fellow queer person myself. This podcast is highly entertaining and I’ve quite enjoyed it thus far.
I shoul- no I need to learn more about (one of) my favourite thing ~✨BL✨~
This podcast is excellent, definitely recommended for all serious yaoi fans who are interested in the hot topics and history of this genre. Aisha and Amanda provide intelligent discourse and mature takes on some sensitive issues that I used to mostly avoid. But surprisingly I found my views aligned with what they said and that’s what hooked me. I feel like this podcast is providing a voice for yaoi fans like me. I haven’t been able to share this hobby with many others, so this is a good way for ... more
We can just say I’m obsessed
To my fellow BL/Yaoi connoisseurs, thanks for creating this podcast.
I’ve been reading BL/Yaoi since my late 30s and now I’m in my early 40s. So, I feel extremely new to the BL/Yaoi culture, but the both of you clarified some of the things associated with enjoying this genre.
I really enjoyed the back-and-forth between the two of you and I’m looking forward to hearing future episodes of your podcast.

A lively, nerdy exploration of yaoi, shonen-ai, and Boys' Love (BL) with thoughtful takes on tropes, representation, and fan culture. Episodes frequently blend media criticism with personal anecdotes, covering fan service, queer symbolism, historical roots, and evolving trends like Omegaverse, while also weighing the commercial side of BL and regional differences. The show often features academic and fan perspectives, delivering intelligent discussions balanced with humor, making it engaging for listeners who want nuanced conversations about BL across manga, anime, and fan communities. Noteworthy is the duo of hosts who bring complementary viewpoints, a willingness to tackle controversial topics, and a consistent focus on intersectional iss... more
