  • It feels corporate

So much potential, but lacks credibility by having a host with no real world overlanding experience. As the Xoverland brand has grown its diluted more and more, and this podcast is just another revenue stream. Some episodes are great(hosted by the Crofts), while the rest feel like filler designed to meet content goals for sponsors.

Lets all pray they don't ruin the Overland Journal podcast.

EP96 | The Truth About Overlanding Builds - Richard Giordano and Clay Croft
Q: Stage one: what is the phase one experience like for a beginner overlander?
Stage one is about ignition: coming across the idea of overlanding, becoming curious, and starting to learn by observing others and forming initial plans, with many lessons learned only after you actually start using the vehicle.

Q: What was the pivotal moment when you decided to stop the yo-yo of working then traveling and actually go mobile full-time?
We chose to commit to traveling full-time after months of planning, building out a more spacious setup, and realizing that a stable remote income could support long-term travel. We gave up the apartment and left.
