It’s no surprise that Matt and Scott put together an awesome show. They have so much experience and a great chemistry together. This is a must listen to get inspired and educated for adventure.
Sorry, I love the content and the intent of the show but if elitist Matt is on then it drags the whole show down the tubes.
I’ve been listening to The Overland Journal Podcast for several years now and always look forward to a new episode. What sets this podcast apart is the quality of discussion, breadth of subjects and inclusion of different cultures, viewpoints and people. While the gear and vehicles (whether by truck, vintage Porsche, sailboat, motorcycle or ?) are an important and enjoyable part of discussion, you are always reminded in this podcast to put travel first and fires most. As it should be. more
The guests is why I love this podcast. So many great stories, inspiration, and help from the guests. Scott is super judgmental on how you do everything wrong because you didn’t do it just like him. Matt is better than you because you didn’t buy the most expensive thing off the shelf. Listen for the guests.
Scott Brady produces fantastic radio. His contributions to exploration and journalism are rivaled only by National Geographic and if you limit the scope to the last 20 years he is the clear winner. Ashley Giordano’s body of work is smaller but her viewpoint and guests are refreshing and I want to hear more. We need more Scott and Ashley episodes. more
