  • Love It!

Been listening for over a year now after switching from street riding to adventure riding. Great interviews, instruction, and topics discussed. I tend to have a short attention span for podcasts but this is one of three that I actually subscribe to and financially support. I highly recommend AAR and ARR Raw podcasts; support them to keep them going. Extra proud it is a Canadian podcast!🇨🇦

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Fear of Riding in Front of Others and How to Work Through It
Q: What tools can riders use to prevent cognitive overload on a hill climb?
Focus on one key change at a time, breathe to reset the brain, then break the problem into concrete steps like body position, gear choice, and line, testing each change in controlled environments before attempting more difficult terrain.
How to Build a Motorcycle Toolkit That Works
Q: What is the core mindset for packing tools for a motorcycle?
Focus on the repairs you may actually perform, keep the toolkit compact, and avoid bulky, generic kits by prioritizing essential tools and practicing at home so you're confident on the road.
RIDER SKILLS: 5 Different Methods For Turning a Motorcycle Around
Q: What is the first thing riders should do when approaching a turn to turn around safely?
Choose a safe spot with eyes on the target, set an appropriate speed, and get the body and bike in balance before starting the turn; this foundation reduces the risk of tipping and helps control the motorcycle through the maneuver.
The Edge, the Motorcycle and the Road Back
Q: What would you say to someone else who may be listening to this and is struggling themselves?
I would tell them to definitely go get some help. Whether you think the therapist won't understand because they haven't done what you've done.
DEEP TROUBLE: Rider Down Utah
Q: What percentage of riding ability do you think you were at at that point?
Cody estimated he was riding at about 15-20% of his normal ability due to pain from his injuries.
