Initially very interesting but he didn’t allow for much Q and A nor for Jocko to comment enough and it’s only it’s only the second time in having heard every episode that I couldn’t finish listening. The other was the female Canadian soldier a few years ago.

  • Sell out

Constantly speaks, and writes, about accountability, discipline, and self respect. However, jumped on the Trump bandwagon along with all the other podcast bros. Unsurprisingly he is yet to comment on the Iran mess. It’s disappointing when people you look up to turn out to be fake.

Jocko Underground: How To Deal With Public Transgressions Against You from Someone.
Q: What should you do if someone pushes boundaries and nothing they do makes them back down, or they respond with hostility?
Set up the situation so that you determine the outcome through your own actions, not by reacting to theirs. Do not rely on their cooperation or predictable responses; maintain composure, minimize escalation, and be prepared to disengage if safety cannot be assured. The goal is to protect yourself and your people without becoming entangled in a dangerous escalation.
Jocko Underground: How To Deal With Public Transgressions Against You from Someone.
Q: All right, first question. I try to live by letting small transgressions go, like not speeding up to cut someone off when slowing down gets the same result. But I recently had a situation that made me question where the line is between letting things go and standing up for myself. Where is the line when to stand up and say that's not okay?
The line is drawn at a potential physical threat to the safety of you or others. If someone is actively threatening harm, or there is a risk to bystanders, you may engage; otherwise, you should avoid letting the other person's actions determine the outcome and strive to keep control of the situation by not escalating unnecessarily. Confrontation should be avoided unless you can anticipate a predictable, safer outcome, and you should keep leverage by not overexposing yourself to the other person's actions.
Jocko Underground: Would Jocko Do An MMA Fight? | Career Opportunity VS Family Needs
Q: I have a lighthearted question for you. I want to ask if you guys would ever compete professionally in jujitsu or fighting.
Jocko explains that the main limitations are time, training consistency, and the risk of injury, noting that today's competition level is much tougher and that balancing family and work makes long-term training for a fight unlikely, though the passion for training remains.
Jocko Underground: Sometimes We See People Treating Kids Horribly.
Q: How to deal with witnessing parents neglecting and or abusing children when I'm out in public?
Focus on what you can control, consider stepping in if there is immediate danger and look for constructive ways to help through volunteering, mentorship programs, or supporting local charities that assist at-risk kids.
535: Keeping Things Humorous Can Keep You Humble. With Kingsley A. Pinderhughes III aka KingPix Media.
Q: How did humor shape your leadership style in high-pressure jobs?
Humor kept the team focused, defused tension, and created a culture where people could point out weaknesses without taking it personally. It reinforced humility and accountability.
