  • Ad overload

Great content and guests but within 30mins I’ve already had about 7-10 ads. It ruins the listening experience and is jarring. The ad experience once again ruins everything.

  • Best podcast for writers

I’ve listened to a bunch of writing podcasts over the years since starting my writing journey, and none of them grip me like TWF. I love the format of this podcast, the range of talented creatives being interviewed, and, of course, Kelton Reid, who always does a phenomenal job interviewing his guests and asking the questions I most want answered. I’ve gained so much from being a regular listener.

  • Excellent Interview

I really enjoyed the Jeneva Rose interview episode. The hosts were great together; they sounded completely genuine and unscripted, which made for a much better listen. Their questions were a great mix of entertaining and educational. The way they wrapped up, with a thoughtful recap of all the highlights, was a fantastic final touch.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

How to Write a Bestselling Audio Drama with Writer/Producer Aaron Tracy: Part One - Redux
Q: Can you talk about how you broke into audio drama? Was it suggested by your agent as a TV pathway or something you pursued independently?
Agents introduced him to James Patterson's development team, but the realization that TV was unlikely to capture a Patterson novel led to a pivot into audio, where a collaboration was formed to adapt Patterson's work for audio drama rather than TV.
How to Write a Hit Narrative Podcast with Aaron Tracy: Part Three
Q: What is your favorite James Bond movie and how does it relate to your approach to storytelling?
The discussion links to Roald Dahl's storytelling philosophy and the way a strong, cinematic sense of scene and character can translate across media, emphasizing the importance of strong voice and narrative drive regardless of format.
How Award-Winning Journo & Author Ellen Huet Writes
Q: Did you know Nicole Day-Done personally, and how did that boundary influence your coverage and the book's narrative?
I never met Nicole in person outside of brief courtroom encounters; I spoke with many former adherents and PR representatives, and I kept a professional distance while striving to convey the human stakes and complexities that defined OneTaste's trajectory.
How Award-Winning Journo & Author Ellen Huet Writes
Q: But you've always been drawn to human stories that involve money, power, and personalities; how did that shape your decision to write a book about OneTaste?
The Six-year arc of reporting and documenting dozens of perspectives showed me the necessity of a thorough, nuanced retelling; I wanted readers to understand why people joined, what attracted them, and how power dynamics played out, while acknowledging I can't know every truth—so I present a responsible synthesis.
How Bestselling Author Emma Grey Writes
Q: How did you start writing and what ignited your publishing journey?
Emma recounts starting at 14 after Anne of Green Gables inspired her, writing through personal losses, and the sequence of rejections before finally landing with Harper Collins, which set her on a path to US recognition.
