Writers on Writing is my favorite podcast. I love hearing from such a variety of authors. I learn so much about the craft and I also get great book recommendations. I have been listening to Barbara’s and Marrie’s fantastic interviews for years and years, and I tell all my writer and reader friends about it.
I have loved listening to this podcast for a very long time, but lately I’ve been skipping more episodes than I’m listening to.
This is because the host's audio is normal and clear, but the guest is barely audible. This uneven volume level makes for a very unpleasant experience, so I haven’t listened much lately. I’m hoping this production issue can be rectified
This podcast is a gift to writers and readers. As I count myself among both groups, it’s a must-listen for me each week. Thanks to the hosts for bringing us within reach of so many exceptional authors.
I decided to learn to write fiction as a New Year’s resolution in 2020, and this is one of the first and most useful podcasts I found. I don’t think I’ve missed a single episode in six years. Barbara and Marrie‘s interview styles are different. Still, they’re both very smart, good questioners and adept at getting at least wonderful nuggets and sometimes flat out revelations out of their guests. Don’t miss this.
For readers and writers who love to hear people talk about the craft and the business of books. Barbara and Marrie are highly skilled interviewers that make it seem as easy as two people having a conversation that you’re overhearing from a table nearby. Great stuff.
