  • Like chatting about wine with fun friends

There are a LOT of wine podcasts out there. And I find most of them lean toward trying to be serious. Sometimes that is useful. But sometimes you just want a friend to recommend a good wine to you. That is where the Wine Pair Podcast comes in. Listening to Joe and Carmela talk about wines is relaxing and fun. But don’t think that means they aren’t also incredibly informative and helpful. They definitely dive deep into the information about the wines they share. They just do it in a fun, conversa... more

I like this wine podcast. Great information and they don’t take themselves too seriously. It’s fun!

If you get the monthly newsletter you can buy what they plan to review and drink along. This is helpful for me because I didn’t know if we had similar tastes.

  • My Go-To Wine Podcast 🍷

The Wine Pair is hands down my favorite wine podcast. The husband and wife energy is so fun and chaotic in the best way, and you end up learning a ton without ever feeling like you’re in class. They’re tasting wines real people actually drink, not just unicorn bottles, while also spotlighting bottles and regions that deserve more attention. As someone with WSET training, I can say this one is legit and so entertaining. 10/10 would pour and press play!

Special Episode! Meet the (Wine) Makers #21: Pascal Marty Owner and Winemaker of Viña Marty
Q: What makes Goutte d'Argent so unique and how did you achieve it?
Goutte d'Argent uses sake yeast fermented at very low temperatures, a process that's technically challenging because the yeast behaves differently than traditional wine yeasts. After years of negotiations with the Sake Producer Association in Japan, I became the first non-Japanese member and gain access to the yeast strains, allowing a wine that blends Japanese technique with Chilean terroir and French winemaking.
Special Episode! Meet the (Wine) Makers #21: Pascal Marty Owner and Winemaker of Viña Marty
Q: Tell us about how you got into winemaking and how your background shaped your path.
My path wasn't planned; I left school to work with my father in a cork factory, discovered wine through seminars, and realized it could blend science with tradition. The experience in Bordeaux, California, and Chile taught me to value both technical rigor and terroir-driven craft, which eventually led me to become involved with projects like Opus One and Viña Almaviva before starting Viña Marty.
