  • I love this podcast! Both Claire and Dr. M have the best voices to listen to. They are so down to earth and not afraid to ask and answer any question. This is the podcast I didn't know I needed!!

  • Episode idea

It enjoy this podcast and think it is great, reliable health info for listeners. I would love an episode where they discuss how low Medicare rebates in general practice promote 6-minute medicine and how it disincentivises bulk billing and thorough, patient centred care . There is SO much anti-GP content on Mamamia and it would be nice to get a balanced view.

  • Quasi medical advice tainted by non evidence based advertising

Has a doctor and journalist providing quasi medical information in the guise of wellness - some content is well researched and accurate but other subjects are misleading. Information may be correct but then there are ads from chemist warehouse advertising unproven vitamin and skincare products which are barely discernible from the main topics. I find this highly concerning as a healthcare professional, when even I struggle to separate the medical facts from fiction. Disappointing to see you bow... more

  • Loving this show!

After being a huge fan of Mamamia in general and also Claire Murphy for years, this show has just been the icing on the cake! As an individual with multiple ongoing chronic health concerns I’m wary of where I get my info from. This show is so perfect as it is evidence based, professional but also pleasant and enjoyable to listen to and get those health reminders! Love!

You’re Not 22…But STIs Aren't Over
Q: Do we have any idea in Australia what's happening to impact those STI numbers, and how bad is it getting?
STIs are rising, with particular concern around syphilis and rapid changes in incidence; public health data show increases and the need for vigilant testing and targeted prevention efforts.
Your Libido Didn’t Disappear, It's The Mental Load
Q: What are the most common reasons women lose desire, and how is this different from men?
Common reasons include relationship dynamics, hormonal factors, emotional stress, and health issues; women may require more emotional and contextual triggers than men, whose arousal can be more spontaneous.
Your Libido Didn’t Disappear, It's The Mental Load
Q: What is our libido, really, and does it exist as a physical structure or something else?
Libido is best understood as a combination of desire and arousal, with the two sometimes separate; understanding this helps tailor medical and behavioral responses.
The Woman With The World’s Most Famous Beard
Q: What was the turning point for you, Harnaam, that led you to embrace your facial hair and advocate for change?
It was a gradual journey shaped by improving mental health, learning to block out negative opinions, and realizing that self-acceptance opens opportunities rather than limits; advocacy grew as doors opened through magazine covers, brand campaigns, and speaking to schools.
Puberty to Perimenopause: Your No‑BS Hormone Survival Guide
Q: How long after pregnancy does it take to return to a new normal?
Hormonal levels peak during pregnancy and drop rapidly after birth; menstruation often returns a few months after breastfeeding ends, though patterns vary and under-fueling or stress can delay return.
