Has a doctor and journalist providing quasi medical information in the guise of wellness - some content is well researched and accurate but other subjects are misleading. Information may be correct but then there are ads from chemist warehouse advertising unproven vitamin and skincare products which are barely discernible from the main topics. I find this highly concerning as a healthcare professional, when even I struggle to separate the medical facts from fiction. Disappointing to see you bow... more

  • Loving this show!

After being a huge fan of Mamamia in general and also Claire Murphy for years, this show has just been the icing on the cake! As an individual with multiple ongoing chronic health concerns I’m wary of where I get my info from. This show is so perfect as it is evidence based, professional but also pleasant and enjoyable to listen to and get those health reminders! Love!

BREAKING, THE QUICKY: We Know You're Scared But Paracetamol Doesn't Cause Autism, Here's Why
Q: What do we know about using ibuprofen or other medications instead of paracetamol during pregnancy?
Ibuprofen can increase the risk of miscarriage and has harmful effects on the baby's kidneys and heart, thus making paracetamol the safest option.
BREAKING, THE QUICKY: We Know You're Scared But Paracetamol Doesn't Cause Autism, Here's Why
Q: What implications does telling women that paracetamol causes autism have?
Women might stop using it when they need to manage pain or fever, which could cause more harm than good due to potential developmental complications from untreated fevers.
BREAKING, THE QUICKY: We Know You're Scared But Paracetamol Doesn't Cause Autism, Here's Why
Q: Can you definitively say that paracetamol does or does not cause autism?
The evidence is clear that paracetamol does not cause autism, as larger studies have shown that previous associations disappeared when controlling for genetic factors.
BREAKING, THE QUICKY: We Know You're Scared But Paracetamol Doesn't Cause Autism, Here's Why
Q: How do you respond to claims like the ones that Trump and RFK have made?
Statements like this can be concerning, as they misapply scientific data and create unnecessary anxiety among pregnant women.
The Surprising Signs You Might Be In Perimenopause
Q: Do the symptoms resolve when you're in full menopause?
While many symptoms may stabilize after menopause, some can persist, and the body will experience constant hormonal levels rather than the fluctuations seen during perimenopause.
