I tuned in because it was recommended in the Liz Earle well-being magazine. Sadly the podcast is biased and doesn’t present both sides of the story. It does try though, I’ll give them that. The bias has come through as result of them believing and repeating the mainstream narrative that has been peddled to them , and not looking deeper. (For example, It’s clear in their commentary on Andrew Wakefield that they have never listened to him being interviewed or heard his side) for the farmers stor... more
Recent Enhanced games segment revealed a lack of understanding of what the issues are from a number of the contributors. While probably not malicious, ignorance and only superficial understanding, and was unfortunately conveyed with false confidence and without challenge.
While I’m sure listeners want fresh and relevant topics, the show should consider if contributors are genuinely expert enough, and their views interesting enough, to add to the debate or if they are doing more harm than good.... more
I love the week and generally this podcast is good with guests who are balanced, but more and more the guests just bring an agenda with them and only the host Ollie seems to challenge the generally very left week thinking. Please please stop having Elizabeth Carr-Ellis on the show, she clearly has an agenda for every story and does what the week stands for a disservice.
Olly Mann in any podcast is a good bet. The weekly roundup from the team is always good to hear. Even if I don’t agree it’s still a good listen.
Really? Isn’t the point of going to the theatre to get triggered?

Three leading writers and editors pick three under-reported stories each week, blending political analysis, journalism, and tech culture to reveal longer-term implications. Episodes span geopolitics, policy shifts, and science breakthroughs, with discussions that weighing risk, accountability, and future impact. A standout angle is how anonymity versus public interest, emerging AI governance, and post-colonial restitution intersect with current events, with a consistent emphasis on accessible explanations and diverse viewpoints. The format tends to center thoughtful moderation, balanced debate, and timely cultural context, making it a compelling listen for professionals who want concise, thoughtful takes on complex issues beyond everyday he... more
